Title: |
The Failure of Neo-liberalism in Latin America (en) |
| Description: |
Milton Friedman, Dean of Economics at the University of Chicago, is the Father of Neo-Liberalism, the famous Chicago Boys of Chile, and the economic theory that has become the banner of US hegemony since the 1970’s and has placed society and government in the hands of the multi-national corporations. Neo-Liberalism asserted that the government was an inefficient, bureaucratic and economic drain on growth… that the private sector and competitive marketplace could more efficiently provide the tools for economic stimulation.
Dr. Friedman provided the private sector the license to make greed a virtue and people a tool; a laissez-faire economic system of privatization, free-markets and elitism which has created the largest disparity of wealth in history both in the US and the World. |
