Title: |
Who is Hugo Chavez (en) |
| Description: |
This program was produced by Radio Tomate Latino in January 2007 just after Mr. Chavez’s reelection as President of Venezuela. It provides a historical chronology of Hugo Chavez’s ascendancy to the thrown from his boyhood to the military, jail and socio-populist presidency.
Why does Washington fear this man? Are they trying to demonize him like Saddam Hussein or is he the neo-Liberator of Latin America? He’s got oil, power, and ambition and a continent boiling with problems.
Dr. Friedman provided the private sector the license to make greed a virtue and people a tool; a laissez-faire economic system of privatization, free-markets and elitism which has created the largest disparity of wealth in history both in the US and the World. |
